Myth or Fact
MYTH: Children don’t experience mental health problems.
FACT: Even very young children may show early signs of mental health concerns.
MYTH: People with mental health challenges are violent.
FACT: The great majority of people with mental health challenges are not violent. Only 3-5% of violent situations are linked to serious mental illnesses.
MYTH: There is no hope for people with mental health challenges.
FACT: Studies have shown that people with mental health challenges can recover with the proper intervention.
